Can’t make it to Paris? Head here instead — your wallet and your stomach will both thank you.
Once upon a time, LeZinc owners Max and Diana Braud had a wine bar/cafe in Paris’ 6th Arrondissement. So it’s no wonder that they’ve been able to nail the look and feel of your favorite bistro — complete with handwritten chalkboard menu, pewter-topped bar and French posters on the walls. There’s even a patio in the back for outdoor dining. (Don’t worry, there’s a heat lamp for chillier days.)
And then, of course, there is the delicious French food that the Brauds offer all day long. Weekend brunch, when I can properly linger, is my favorite time to stop in here. If I’m in a savory mood, it has to be the mussels and fries. If something sweet is in order, I like the brioche French toast. (The egg dishes at LeZinc are also very good.)
Prices here are reasonable, and the service is friendly — making it an even better destination the next time you’re craving a taste of Paris.
