No matter what size your budget or your living space, you can always find something cool at Zinc Details.
The left side of the store is primarily devoted to furniture, including Offi, Knoll and Blu Dot pieces. The right side is where you’ll find an incredible selection of accessories. Alessi, Chilewich, Lotta Jansdotter, Design House Stockholm, Stelton, Tord Boontje, Marimekko and George Nelson are all well-represented here.
Owners Vasilio and Wendy Kiniris’ initial intent in opening the store was to create a showcase for their own work, as well as that of fellow UC Berkeley design graduates. But Zinc Details has evolved into a design general store — successfully merging everything from Scandinavian mid-century to Japanese modern.
Service is top-notch, with a friendly and unpretentious staff. You won’t feel rushed or pressured to buy, which is good because you definitely want to take your time here. The store is jam-packed with design gems — big and small — that are not to be missed.
