Logan Theater, Logan SquareA trip to the Logan is not a flash and glitter, red carpet, high-tech, twenty-first century movie going experience. It’s better. With all the charm you would expect from a theater that shows only second-run films, the Logan is one of the best entertainment deals in town. Tickets cost just $3 for all show times. And as if this bargain pricing weren’t enough to please even the most frugal budget-watching babe, the Logan Theater is full of nostalgic details. From the suit-clad men who take your ticket, to the wooden armrests, to the vintage women’s bathroom with its abundance of mirrors, iron loveseat, and standing, silver ashtrays, the Logan is a smash hit as far as character is concerned. Do not expect to find cup holders or obnoxious pre-movie advertisements. It’s just good old-fashioned film here. The Logan’s location is a stone’s throw from the Logan Square blue line L stop, and there is ample, fairly-priced parking behind the McDonald’s on Milwaukee just one block past the theater.
