Shopping at Whim is like playing dress up in your most fashionable friend’s closet. It’s easy to find things you’ll love, and so much fun! Owners Lindsay Weiland and Catherine Finkelstein have chosen beautiful clothes that are easy to wear and of the moment. Their jewel of a store is filled with top styles from brands like Poleci, Susana Monaco and Odyn Jeans.
I found so many things that I wanted to change into right then and there; especially Project Alabama T-shirts that could become my summer uniform. Don’t worry about finding something you can actually afford - their mix includes moderately priced but stylish clothes from brands like DDP (a French brand with unique urban designs). Why go to a chain store and look like everybody else?
If this all sounds too good to be true, I have something else to tell you - they also have clothes for the boys. Now you can shop for yourself and pick up a little something for the man in your life. Because you’re selfless like that.

Roxanna Sarmiento: Roxanna is a freelance writer who loves travel and luxury (but still loves the thrill of finding a bargain!). After growing up in Santo Domingo, studying in Granada (Spain), and working her way up the east coast, she now calls the Boston area home. Some of her favorite travel adventures include crossing the desert by camel in Morocco, dancing Sevillanas at the Feria in Seville, and lounging on the beach at Ipanema. But give her a comfy bed and a good book and she’s happy anywhere – especially at home with her husband and son.
