I love elegance. Candlelight. Spending time with my sweetheart. Being in a place that really takes the time to make sure you have a great experience. Morton’s Steakhouse is exactly where I turn when I want all these things.
The steaks are juicey and expertly cooked. When you order a steak medium well, it doesn’t come out rare. It’s perfect every time. And I always order their molten chocolate cake. It is served warm and oozes rich chocolate. They also have a full bar and you can order the cake at the bar with your drinks.
This is the kind of place that will make you want to dress up and take your favorite person. If you are celebrating a special event, tell them as you make your reservation. I came here for my anniversary and they printed a special menu that said “Happy Anniversary.”
Once you are seated, someone will come around with a cart filled with all your menu options. It is a great visual seeing what you order before it is cooked. It makes you feel like you are presented with the best, which is exactly what this restaurant stands for.
Don’t like steak? Don’t worry. Although there aren’t a lot of non-steak options, they do have some possibilities.
So, this is the place to go when you want to indulge yourself and feel elegant. When I pierce my fork through the warm chocolate cake and warm chocolate filling oozes all over my plate, after I take that first mouthful, I know that Morton’s succeeded in that purpose.
Make sure to order the Chocolate Godiva Truffle Cake in advance because they need time to make it. They serve it warm with a scoop of icecream and comes out right after you are finished with your meal.
Note: Parking is a big problem at any time of day in this area. I recommend you use their valet service.
