They train their sales staff to recommend the proper shoe for your particular needs. They start the diagnoses with questions to get a feel for any injuries you are prone to or special needs you may have. Then you walk or run while they observe your stride and the way your foot hits the ground. They recommend a style of shoe and you spend some time trying on different brands.
I never knew that you were supposed to put so much thought into purchasing a pair of sneakers, but it’s worth it. The staff really takes time to give you all the individual attention you need, no matter how busy the store is. The shoes are a bit pricier here, but I prefer shopping at this specialty store where knowledge of the products is highly valued.
