Cafe Vittoria- Boston’s North End
Written by katherine on 8/18/05 in Famished, Relaxin'
I love a good cappuccino- the way the foam spills over the side and you feel you must eat it with a spoon. And extra bonus points if there’s chocolate sprinkled on the top.
That is why I was thrilled when I found Cafe Vittoria in Boston’s North End. Their cappuccino comes complete with foam and chocolate and they have a nice menu of Italian pastries and gelati to accompany it. You can also order just about any coffee drink imaginable- espresso, latte, macchiato, Americano.
The atmosphere is relaxed and European- a perfect place to sit with a date or a group of friends. It was also air conditioned and cool- a welcome relief after trekking in the summer heat and humidity. This is the sort of place that doesn’t rush you, and the waitress doesn’t come over every ten minutes to see how you are doing. Instead they maintain their distance and let you converse without being interrupted.
Don’t like coffee? They also have Italian sodas, a great list of liqueurs, juices, and other beverages.
So, when I am looking for a place that has some European charm and great coffee, Cafe Vittoria is one of the first on my list.
